Parallel processing is a colloquial term used to describe the perception of a tulpa being able to focus on something different than the host, regardless of what the host is doing. For instance, a tulpa solving math exercises while the host is entirely focused on writing a letter, would be an act of parallel processing. To which extent parallel processing is actually possible, and whether or not it's different from an individual's ability to learn multitasking, are subjects of much speculation within the tulpa community. There currently exists no valid evidence to support claims of tulpa multitasking.
